Buying a commercial fridge used to be a dull job when it came to choosing the finish. Like Henry Ford, the suppliers would offer 'any finish you like, so long as it's stainless steel'. Now British manufacturer Precision has developed a range of commercial cabinets that look exciting but are every bit as tough and hygienic as the traditional type.

USA - Several Apple resellers have started to roll out Apple-like storefronts of their own. In Orem, Utah, Simply Mac now sells its wares from a glass-front store that features the same amenities found in the Apple stores - from high-end displays to the service bar with qualified support staff. In fact, at first glance, it's difficult to tell the store from a flagship Apple location. 2 Oct 2007
Scan Display's Metro system, an aluminium modular display product, is an ideal option for the retail environment. The metal framework can be fitted with graphic or glass panels and works much like Lego, enabling the user to reconfigure the parts to easily create a whole new display.

USA - For a new way to enrich the ambiance of restaurant interiors, designers should look to the ceiling, says Larry Loser, owner and president of Applied Visual Concepts. The Michigan-based company has announced that it would begin marketing its "Ceiling Scenes" products for use in restaurants, bars and coffee houses.
