Amandla Nempilo, the 2008-leg of Parmalat's social enrichment campaign, kicked off in the Eastern Cape and Transkei. With Amandla Nempilo meaning ‘strength and health' in Xhosa, the campaign helps schools, as well as consumers and wholesalers in their communities to take the next step towards healthy nutrition, and a very worthwhile prize.

Med-Lemon is celebrating the success of its fourth consecutive winter campaign, which has employed 383 community members and produced over 5,700 scarves since its launch in May 2008. The handover of warm winter woollens to needy communities during the cold months is a crowning moment for the dedicated knitters and the organisations that co-ordinate this annual income-generating scheme. 4 Jul 2008

This May, over 600 delegates, suppliers and retailers, gathered at the Wild Coast Sun for four days for Build it's annual convention. Themed 'Let's Go, Let's Grow!' this year's event served as a call to action for all attendees to be positive and proactive and to play a role in the building of this country.
