A taste of Disney cheese with High School Musical 3

High School musical 3 is the epitomy of the Disney pre-teen flick. It's got a pretty guy…I mean pretty…kinda in the same way Jared Leto is pretty…yet HOT…mmmm!…*cough…anyway…a pretty guy, a sweet girl and a LOT of singing. A lot. Did I mention that there was singing? And dancing too. Oh yeah!
Thankfully I have not had the pleasure of seeing the first two in the “trilogy”, which is probably why I found it so entertaining. Our dear Sindy had been forced by her younger siblings…tied to a chair and eyes held open with matchsticks…to watch the first two and so when we dragged her along to see the third she was somewhat less than amused. I however, laughed though a large potion of the film. Blergh! The corny dialogue, the cheesy dance moves…the sickly sweet duets. My empty popcorn box came in handy.

The plot…its senior year and a basketball hero dating the high school darling must decide what he wants to do with his life. Fulfil his fathers' dream of sending him to U of A to play basketball, or join the Julliard School and study theatre. Oh the dilemma!
And to top it off, his gal is going to some hoity toity school 1000 miles away. I remember the distance because there was a song about it. There were a lot of songs.
My favourite line in the whole film was yelled by some odorous reprobate…” YO…YO… IT'S LUNCHTIME!”…unfortunately, that didn't spark up a song. Maybe in High School musical 9?!

If you are above the age of 12, you will kill yourself before the end of the movie. But for the younger generation, I would imagine it's full of excitement, funky dance moves and romance. * Aaw* so take your local pre-teen along to see it if you've got the stomach!
