Spekko Rice keeps it hot and spicy at the Spring Good Food and Wine Show!

For the second year running, Spekko Rice has joined forces with the team from SABC's popular Sunday lifestyle show, Eastern Mosaic, for what has developed into a definite recipe for success! The Spekko Rice, Eastern Mosaic Gourmet Gateway had a fashionable makeover for this event and was turned into a stylish cooking lounge, complete with state-of-the-art plasma screens and even a dining room area! The stand seated up to 50 guests at a time and was jam-packed for each delicious demonstration!

A total of 40 demonstrations took place on the stand for the duration of the show and were hosted by top chefs from all over the world such as the BBC's Reeza Mohamed and Brian Turner as well as local hot shots such as Jenny Morris. The local Spekko Rice chefs however were the ones that stole the show! The crowds hung on every word celebrity chefs Nicky Gibbs and Yudhika Sujanani spoke as they conducted their Innovative Rice Dishes and Curry in a Hurry shows respectively!

Audiences were fascinated by the quality of the Spekko Rice range and got to experience all the variants first hand through the various tasting and sampling that took place off the stand. A definite highlight for many visitors at the show was Spekko Rice's recent launch of a selection of the World's most famous rice's namely India Gate Basmati variants from India and Royal Umbrella Jasmine variants from Thailand!

The ever popular Eastern Mosaic presenters Candice Moodley and Imran Vagar were on hand throughout the event to ensure energy levels on the stand remained charged and guests just couldn't get enough of all the generous giveaways!

The Spekko Rice, Eastern Mosaic Gourmet Gateway won a Gold award at the show for the most interactive and informative stand. This is one of the show's highest honours!
