Sparkling summer from JC Le Roux

JC Le Roux is releasing two new additions to its sparkling wine range, the Scintilla and the Méthode Cap Classique Rosé.

JC Le Roux Scintilla
A 2001 vintage signature Méthode Cap Classique in a stylish dark bottle, the Scintilla is a blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot noir. It is a luxuriously smooth, well-balanced and delicate wine that has a golden hue and dry, soft and elegant palate. The wine was matured for eight years on the lees and displays a rich fruitiness on the nose with integrated baked bread flavours.

It retails at around R128 a bottle.

La Vallée Rosé
The other is its first off-dry Méthode Cap Classique Rosé - La Vallée Rosé, with a subtle hint of sweetness to be enjoyed at any time of the day with a wide variety of seafood and poultry dishes. Made predominantly of Pinot noir grapes, it was matured for 12 months on the lees to develop light yeasty and powerful fruit flavours.

It retails at around R60 a bottle.
