Slashing trans fat from Snackworx's snacks

By: ActivRetail
Snackworx, manufacturer of Bakers, Pyotts, Baumanns and Willards snack foods, recently announced that all of its biscuit and chip ranges are now being produced free of trans fatty acids.
This has been made possible through changes in the source of fats used to make the company's products. The fats used are made without the use of the hydrogenation process.

“This is a major step in our commitment to offering consumers better-for-you snacking options without compromising on quality or taste. It reflects the global trend towards changing to ingredients that are healthier for consumers and indicates that we are mindful of consumer's health concerns,” says Heather Partner, category director: Snackworx.

The product packaging has also been updated to reflect the new change.
