A wide selection of Africana is among the nearly 200 books offered by the AuctionExplorer online book auction, which started late last week. 
Before Christmas last year, a substantial quantity of De Meye Shiraz Rosé 2009 became available for the first time for British wine consumers, through UK online wine retailer, Naked Wines. De Meye Wines were the most successful bidder at Naked Wines' “inverted” auction where the wine drinking public tasted, rated and set a price on ‘the 10 best out of 100 South African wines from 50 producers'. 
The third last Volkswagen Citi Mk1 off the production line was officially handed over to its highest bidder, Dolf Jonker, for R300 100 late last week. 
Online shoppers spent more money on Cyber Monday than they did last year, according to research firm Coremetrics. However, they spent less time wandering the virtual isles. Multi-page and browsing session times both fell by a few percentage points, and bounce rates, which show how quickly visitors leave a page, shot up by almost 18% year over year.
