eBucks members, wishing to assist those affected by the devastating catastrophe in Haiti, can make a donation through its website with eBucks or Rands to two worthy causes. 
‘A Gift for Life', a school starter pack, is one of NPO 1in1out's methods of providing direct links between society and the disadvantaged. It has received a generous donation of 500 hampers packed with writing paper, pens, pencils and other items of stationery from Silveray Statmark, distributors of brands such as Croxley, Parker and Stabilo. 
The University of Johannesburg's School for Tourism and Hospitality (STH) management received a new year's generous donation of cleaning equipment from Numatic International, amongst the leaders in the hospitality cleaning industry. 
The 7th CANSA Shavathon takes place countrywide on 5-6 March 2010, when supporters can have their heads shaved or their hair spray painted to raise funds for the organisation. 
Four Nando's restaurants, Adderley Street, Woodstock, Tokai and Camps Bay, are showcasing inspiring original collections of art to actively support local artists. 
Through its R1.77bn first phase repositioning programme, Sandton City Shopping Centre was able to donate 58 doors of various sizes to CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa) for use in renovating the Gwaranang building in the new Steve Biko Paediatric Oncology Unit. CANSA made use of the voluntary services of the Round Table Organization to collect the donated goods. 
Leading restaurants in the Stellenbosch and Paarl winelands are ploughing back into the community through StreetSmart SA, the non-profit organisation dedicated to the social integration and upliftment of street children. 
The L'Ormarins Queen's Plate will be raced at the Kenilworth racecourse on Saturday 9 January 2010. The dress code is blue and white and those who interpret it with the most sophistication can win marvellous prizes in the Best Dressed competition.
