In Orem, Utah, Simply Mac now sells its wares from a glass-front store that features the same amenities found in the Apple stores - from high-end displays to the service bar with qualified support staff. The recently reopened Morningside Shopping Centre, Sandton, has a strong architectural focus on contemporary clean lines, keynote style and minimalistic elegance. 
The R300m redevelopment of the Morningside Shopping Centre by property specialists Flanagan & Gerard and Grapnel Property Investments is under way, with the official opening set for next month. 
The R100m Thornhill Shopping Centre in Polokwane, Limpopo, will be opened next Thursday. 
Puma City has been named 'Best Retail Space' by American publication Travel + Leisure. A tour de force of architecture and design, the 11,000 square-foot (over 1,000m2) structure is made from 24, 40-foot long, steel shipping containers, each weighing in at 11 tons. It consists of three levels of containers stacked on top of one another and then slightly shifted to create natural outdoor spaces with large overhangs and wide open terraces. 
Eden on the Bay promises to be a unique new shopping and lifestyle destination in the Cape when it opens its doors on 26 March 2009. This mixed-use development is situated on a prime location on the shore of Blouberg's Big Bay, with no road separating the building from the beach, and will host a selection of upmarket stores and restaurants. 
A 1950m2 unique Pick n Pay concept store will anchor the R280 million Morningside Shopping Centre redevelopment in Sandton, which is set to open in June 2009.
